Region · Green islands, pristine beaches
The Sporades
The Sporades scatter off Greece's eastern coast, just north of Evia: twenty-four islands, four of them inhabited, lush with pine running all the way down to the waterline.
If you are already imagining yourself walking here, soaking in the sun and the local pace, your Sporades holiday has quietly begun. This is the archipelago where the Aegean turns green: Aleppo pines to the sand, water mixing shades the open sea rarely manages, and a scale that suits every speed of traveller.
Twenty-four islands, four addresses
Only Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnisos and Skyros are inhabited, but many more of the twenty-four are worth a swim stop under sail, and the group combines naturally with the North Aegean or the Cyclades on a longer route.
Land or deck
Prefer more time ashore than aboard? One or two Sporades islands carry a full trip on their own: lush vegetation, pristine beaches and the ultimate easy beach holiday, with hiking and quiet monasteries when the towel loses its charm. Tell us your pace and we will set the ratio of deck to shore accordingly.
